S__t happens sounds an awful lot like the Second Law of Thermodynamics to me. Exercising control in our lives seems to me to indicate decreasing entropy. Even emotion is a search for order in the universe, however misdirected!

Life, so far as I can determine IS the meaning of existence in the universe, and SRT, GR and QM are models which seem to support that view, yet the low entropy condition which characterizes our physical existence JUSTIFIES our search for meaning greater than ourselves.
