The only thing I feel I can reliably assert is that the probability is almost zero that we are at the highest level of organized conscious complexity in the universe.

There are folks on the forum who detest references to science fiction, but I think that looking intelligently at the complexity and precision we find in both the inanimate universe; in the heart of stars, the mass of the universe or the development of the "big bang" and that in our own bodies amounts to receiving a message from the universe that gives every prime from 2 to 101...and I think everybody should be told about it, too.

PS I think you are right on the nose...somehow, in our own small way we are all involved in a process- it is a part of us.

We see that magnificent assertion in major religions too, but the cosmos is structured and hierarchical. There is such a thing as a leash, control and management of what is going on. Its just that we are in the wrong frame of reference to make sense of it all.
