HI:
Varmints are pests: rats, mice or wolves...usually but not always mammals.
Critter is a more friendly but somewhat
impersonal term reserved perhaps for somebody
else's dog. Critter is also more general and can
refer to any species of animal...Oh, and semantics IS important! Best
