Hi:

Relativity just strikes some people stone cold. The reaction is very emotional, and reminds me of the reaction of the Roman Catholic church to the studies of Galileo. I can really sympathize, for we live in a world where we perceive forces and motion- and MUST perceive same to survive.

The problems of these people are two fold. First, they obey the seat of their pants rather than scientific observations of the universe. We all know what happened to JFK Jr. and the Governor of Missouri and his son. The last thing the governors son reported was that his horizon indicator, which worked fine in VFR, suddenly wasn't working correctly in IFR. We have to follow the observations diligently- or we are not scientists anymore.

The second problem of these people relates to the first: for philosophical reasons, they are unwilling to follow new concepts, however well tested, because these theories imply values and a world life view which contradicts (or they think contradicts) their own. This brings us back to the church VS Galileo.

I do not disparage the searching of such folks because alternative ideas are a source of new truth. A good illustration would be: Why in an Einsteinian Universe, do we see things backwards? The Newtonian world of forces and motion seems so real...why?

The Einsteinian answer (partial answer) is that ultimate reality is perceived at each frame of reference in the cosmos...implying that there is something secondary- if very important about cosmological reality! I don't know about you, but understanding that fact makes me feel quite important to the universe...even if I don't really know why.

The depiction of reality I described in "our eternal universe" naturally resolves from the SRT and GR concept, and shows clearly that everything in the universe which has or will exist- minus a trifle is included in an eternal cosmic reality.

Major scientists, (not just this person) cough seriously on this basic stuff, but 20 years ago, they choked on singularity. 50 years ago they were choking on antimatter. In 10 years, the dual universe will seem as natural as breathing. It just HAS to be. It answers too many questions, and the dual universe not only FITS the model...it IS the model.

Yet as I imply, the truth is beyond even the dual universe, as profound as that concept is.

Best Wishes in your quest! Sam Cox
