Acknowledgements

The writer very much appreciates the friendly cooperation and encouragement of Dr. Ned Wright, Vice Chairman of the Department of Astronomy at UCLA; Mr. David Butterfield; mathematics, Colorado Springs and Dr. R.M. Kiehn; professor of physics and topology at the University of Houston. Dr. Kiehn's assistance in reading and conceptually evaluating the site was very much appreciated. The work of many other pioneers in relativity theory is recognized. Their names are listed with their work identified and credited in the text, the Appendix and the bibliographic material.

It would also be appropriate to express heartfelt thanks to Robert (Rob) Boylan, P.E.; System Administrator of the FSM Telecommunications Corporation, for assisting the author in organizing and formatting site material. Rob is well qualified for these responsibilities, as he has a B.S. E.E. degree with double majors in computer engineering and physics. The writer extends thanks to Bryan Enicar, BA University of Hawaii at Hilo for re-organizing and uploading this material during August 2005. A domain site change has recently been completed by the author's son, Daniel A. Cox, who manages for a computer technology company in Dallas, Texas.

Of course, The writer takes sole responsibility for the conceptualizations of special and general relativity on this site.

Dedications

This web site is dedicated to the search for truth and to the man who changed our whole view of the cosmos: Dr. Albert Einstein. The description "In Plain English" is written in fond memory of his famous quote (1949): "Since the mathemeticians have invaded the Theory of Relativity, I do not understand it myself anymore!" It is the writers opinion that even mathemeticians need conceptual understanding, and will find this site useful, for relativity is profoundly simple- and, in 7D- elegant.

The writer would also like to remember Frank Roberts his high school Chemistry and Physics teacher, who inspired his students with the magnificence of the universe and went on to get his Doctorate at Bryn Mawr!
